3 Day Refresh

3 Day Refresh
I had to be honest with myself and admit that my nutrition had fallen off BIG time. I enjoyed a week of vacation in July and then celebrated my birthday for about two weeks. And, I never quite recovered despite my best efforts.
So, I decided to jump start my nutrition habits by doing the 3 Day Refresh. Many people utilize the Refresh to lose extra weight at the beginning or end of a fitness program. I honestly was not as interested in that part. I was more interested in reclaiming control and detoxing my body from all the cheats that kept creeping in.
Beachbody is wonderful and sends you everything you need to know in order to be successful during the Refresh. You simply need to read the packet and purchase your foods from the market to be prepared.

Shakeology is something I already love, but I'll admit, I missed adding my almond milk and peanut butter! The Vanilla Fresh meal shakes (used at lunch and dinner) were pretty good and the dinner recipes were delicious (I tried the Moroccan Carrot Salad and Tomato and Cucumber Salad).

The Fiber Sweep didn't taste terrible, but it did taste like paper and was a little difficult to get down despite its mild lemon flavor

I was never HANGRY during the 3 Day Refresh, but I did not feel quite satisfied, especially at night. Although, going to bed hungry isn't the worst thing in the world.

Drinking an herbal tea mid-morning and mid-afternoon really helped stave off hunger. I think I'm going to use this trick more often!

All in all, I stuck to it and felt really proud of myself. It was definitely good for my mindset to stick to it from start to finish without cheating. Reminded me that I AM IN CONTROL of my choices for nutrition and life.

I feel positive that I will be able to survive the upcoming holiday season without slipping back into bad habits.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to gain back control of their nutrition, detox from junky/sugary foods, and to lose an extra 5 pounds before a big event.
