Great way to start the day

I usually get up before everyone else.  It's the only way I can get a shower and have some peaceful moments before the craziness sets in.  This morning, the alarm went off, but the volume was down.  So, I overslept.  Ethan and Grayson came barging in around 6:45 AM and seeing me in bed still Ethan says, "Good morning.  I'm gonna snuggle with BOTH of you!"  Man, I love that kid.

Just some fun

We've been settling in for a month now and I think we're done. Now, I fill my days with running errands, cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, keeping the boys in line, and occassionally I sit down for a minute. Here are some photos from this week.

Grayson is really excited to ride a bike like his brother.  He had a blast!
We bought Ethan a bike when he turned two (Grayson is actually using it in the pic above) and we lived in a condo and he just never learned to ride it.  Now that we're in a house with a driveway, I have no excuses.  Lessons have begun and I hope I can figure out how to teach him.  If anyone has tips, I'll take them.

Riding dad like a horse.  Everyone has severe bedhead in this picture.

Watching the boys ride their bikes.  Always in a pleasant mood, this one.  We love him.

This boy is becoming a messy eater!  Those are puffs stuck to his shirt.  Carrots are all over his face, arms, and tray. They were on the wall, my arms, and the dining room table.  When he takes a bite, he likes to fake sneeze and it sends food everywhere!

Fly Lady

I have heard many of my friends talk about Fly Lady, so I decided to look her up.  You can too at www.flylady.net
She gives those who want to start her steps to de-cluttering and de-chaosing (I know it isn't a word) Baby Steps to begin. Her first step is to Shine the Sink. I did so today and she's right. I feel like a million bucks and Jared did look at me like I am crazy.

Labor Day Weekend

We had so much fun over the holiday weekend. We traveled to St. Augustine to hang out with mi familia and it was so fun. We ate great food thanks to my Dad and Jared. (Homemade meatballs and sauce on Friday, BBQ Ribs on Saturday, and Filet Mignon on Sunday. My dad sure knows how to spoil us.) It felt so great to just hug my family. I really wish we saw one another more often, but it is way better now that it was when I lived out West. We even got to spend some time with our friends, The Russells on Saturday and Monday. We hit the beach/splash pad at the Pier and hung out at my parent's house in the backyard. The weather was gorgeous and the company was too. Here are some photos of the highlights.
Jump Shake your Booty!  (Excuse my sad singing voice.)

Papa and Grayson.  My dad is definitely Grayson's favorite person.  He rarely says "Dada", but says "Papa" everytime he sees Dad's picture at our house.  He was thrilled to see him and spent as much time as possible snuggling or shadowing his Papa.

 Three of my favorite kiddos.
Running through the "Kid Wash."  I saw this in a magazine and thought it would be fun.  I sent the plans to my dad and he and Tony made it for us.  Tony even spray painted it.  It was a huge hit.  I even got in on the action, but made sure there were no photos of that.  They would run through the Kid Wash and jump in the pool over and over again.  Boundless energy!
