Birthdays

Thanks to all my friends and family who sent birthday wishes today. It is odd, how having Ethan has changed my birthday for me. It just didn't seem as important. I'm not sure why, but it just didn't. Overall, it was kind of a mixed day. I ended up working, which I hadn't planned to do originally. My co-workers were great because they took me out for a great lunch at PF Chang's. Yummy! I also took Ethan to the doctor today for his 9 month check up. I can't believe he's 9 months old today. He weighed in at 21 pounds (65%) and was 28 inches long (50%). He is growing healthy and strong.

Fun Photos

Aunt Stacey and Ethan hanging out in the pool. We did get Ethan a float and he loves relaxing in it. He seriously is one cool dude!
I put Phoebe in Ethan's crib for a photo op. Jared thinks I'm crazy, but aren't they too cute! Ethan just loves his Phoebe-dog. We often find the two of them playing together and Ethan is just laughing his head off.
A photo of Ethan in his little bathtub. He recently graduated to using the big-boy bathtub. Luckily his belly fat covers up any embarrasing moments.
I had finished feeding Ethan and had to tend to the dog quickly. I guess he wasn't done, because when I returned he had grabbed his applesauce jar and was licking the inside clean! (He hurt his nose earlier in the week at his school/daycare and it looks terrible.)
Here are both the "children" standing up in the crib.

Where does the time go?

Just a few photos to show you how quickly Ethan is growing up! Each stage is so fun!

What can I say, he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!
Wearing his Sunday best! Thank you Grajales family. He look so cute in his new outfit.
Wearing the hat he wore home from the hospital last week while we were putting away old clothes.
Wearing the same hat at 3 weeks old! I almost forget how little he was.

Girl's Camp

So, I went to our Church's Young Women's Girls Camp a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed getting to know the girls and the other women I serve with better. These girls are so strong and love Christ. Even though I'm one of their leaders, they are such a great example to me. Here are a few photos of our wonderful girls!

Hey, I didn't know you could do that either!

Well, it's official. Ethan is crawling. He has his own unique style, but I wouldn't expect anything less from him. He uses a knee and a foot instead of two knees. It is so cute. I've been trying to entice him for weeks with different objects, but none were winners. Phoebe, our 3 year old dog, finally got him moving. He absolutely had to have her little soccer ball which is so gross and dirty! He kept going after it and playing fetch with her. Too cute. One of these days I will get a video on here so you can see him. He also officially has four teeth! It seems he grew up a lot in the last week. Exciting, but a little sad.

Hey, I didn't know you could do that!

Well, Ethan pulled himself up today on our ottoman. He has been trying to do that on our legs and when I lay next to him on the floor. He can stand, but is in more of a forward bend stance. Today, while I was busy with something I heard something fall. Upon investigating, Ethan had pulled himself to standing on our ottoman and grabbed my full glass of water that was there. Now I have to officially put things up higher out of his reach. Time is flying too fast!
He isn't really crawling yet. He can get around, but in his own unique way. In the last few weeks, he has really found his voice and is talking all the time. It is the most beautiful sound ever! He has also cut a third tooth and a fourth is just about to come through. In the next few weeks, he'll have his four teeth (two up top and two on bottom). It's great to be a mom!
