Father's Day

You know, I suppose most people blog about all the great things in their lives. I know that I usually tend to focus on the positive. If I don't I feel I become ungrateful and can dig a hole that really bums me out. One of the greatest things in my life is my husband, Jared. He is so good to me! And, he's so good to our children! I think they are pretty blessed to have them as their dad. On Father's Day we tried to make things extra special for Jared. We gave him the standard card (made by Ethan) and polo shirt. We also special-ordered some BYU Creamery ice cream, which all of us got to enjoy. And, I had Ethan make him a tie to wear to church today. (I saw this done by another family and made a mental note to do it once Ethan was big enough.) Jared wore it all day! You can tell he was proud of that tie.

First try with watermelon was a success.

Brothers in coordinate jammies. Didn't even do that on purpose.

Utah

So, my pics uploaded backwards, so the things you see first actually are at the end of our trip. We had a blast in Utah while attending Justin and Cindy's wedding. Ethan stayed in FL with my parents and he had a great time with his grandparents and other family members. I swear he got bigger while we were gone. We missed him so much. We did all of our favorite Utah things: hiking, Cafe Rio, Chuck-a-Rama (hahahaha), hanging with our dear friends--Michelle, Gordon, Morgan, Cooper, and Cindy, seeing beautiful sights. It was great. It is also great to be home. I missed my humidity! Enjoy the photos.

View of the temple from the top of the Conference Center.

Pretty flowers abound on Temple Square. No idea what this is called, but it was gorgeous.

Fountain on top of the Conference Center. What an amazing building! The Spirit was so strong, couldn't imagine how powerful it might be when an event is actually being held there.

Bountiful Temple! Crazy how many temples are within 45 minutes of each other.

Baby Raccoon Attack! Seriously, this little guy wanted to come home with us.

Gordon and Morgan. Engaged to be married! We couldn't be happier for them either.

We didn't make it all the way because Gordon and Morgan had to catch a plane and we had to turn around. It was beautiful where we stopped!

Grayson loved hiking!

Two of my favorite guys.

Justin and Cindy eating some delicious wedding cake.

Grayson and his new girlfriend, Morgan. (Watch out Gordon, he may just steal your fiancee.)

Newlyweds! Justin and Cindy Cooper! Couldn't be happier for these crazy kids.

This made us laugh out loud!

I saw a Martian! We were too early for the shows, but had a blast walking around and learning new things. Why didn't I think science was this cool when I was in school?

Jared trying to steal a moon rock at the Clark Planetarium.

Park City. Always fun to walk around.

Mount Timpanogos. We were amazed at how much snow was on the mountains. Jared even got some snow in Snowbird on the night of the bachelor party.

Grayson and Me at BYU! Go Cougars! It was fun to be on campus again. We walked around and ate at the Creamery. Delicious!

Not part of Utah, but my fourth of five craft projects. Made some girly hair things and accessories for my friend, Brooke and her daughter, Campbelle. Expect them in the mail soon, Brooke!
