Baby Lyla

My sister, Stacey, and her husband, Joe, had their first baby, Lyla Rebecca, on Thursday, March 26 at 10:29 PM. After 21 hours of labor, Lyla was born at 7 lbs and 19 3/4 inches. Here are some photos of the beautiful family: ) Stacey is doing very well; she and Joe are naturals! Ethan wasn't so sure about his new cousin.

Lyla didn't like the flash. Ethan is more interested in Joe and Stacey's dog, Sasha, than he is Lyla.

Our Vacation

Well, technically, we had a staycation. Ethan spent the weekend with my parent's and we spent the weekend doing non-parent things like sleeping in and running errands. Sounds pretty lame, but we loved having a break. Ethan had a great time, here are some photos.

Extra photos from Valentine's Day

So this is a little late, but I didn't have the photos because they were on my parent's camera. We spent Valentine's Day in St. Augustine to share in Aunt Stacey's baby shower. Here are a few photos. Ethan went that day to get his first hair cut at a barber shop. His dad had cut it twice before, so this is his third haircut. He didn't like the haircut, but loved the lollipop. Here's a photo of the blanket I made for Lyla. I am hoping it will be her favorite!

Bummer, I let the day for voting for the cutest baby come and go! I totally forgot until this minute. So, voting's over. Unless a lot of random people we don't know voted for Ethan, we won't be pursuing his career as a male model. Oh well.

So, it's been awhile since I last posted. Life is in a pretty good routine. Here are some new things Ethan likes.

Post-it Notes! He found some yesterday and stuck them all over himself. They are small, so a little hard to see, but it was pretty original of him: )


SPAGETTI! Ethan loves spagetti and we love letting him go crazy. We always need a bath after spagetti night.

Hat day! Ethan usually doesn't like to wear hats, but he decided he liked this one his second cousin, Andrew, gave him. He kept bringing it to me to put it on for him.

Finally, today, we were reading his farm book together. We read this one pretty often and I make the animal noises for him. He opened to the pig page and started oinking. It was great!
