Grayson is 4 Months

Grayson turned 4 months old last week on 3/18. We went to the doctor the following day. Here are his stats. Height: 24 1/2 inches; Weight: 14 lbs 14.5 oz
I promise to post his 4 month pic soon. I just need to take it and haven't had the time.
At four months, Grayson remains our smiley baby! He loves to talk and smile and watch his brother do just about anything. He started on some cereal and thinks it is the bomb. His hair is coming in lighter, so I may end up with another blondie after all. He is close to rolling over, but hasn't quite figured out that he can do it yet. We just love him!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

So, we actually did something out of the ordinary to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We went to our church's activity with an Irish theme. It was so fun and we took some awesome pics. Yesterday I made a Corned Beef and Brussel Sprout recipe (http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/recipe-collections-favorites/five-easy-dinners-00000000029764/page3.html) and it was delicious. I substituted apple cider for the ale; )We will definitely eat this again.

P.S. Grayson is 4 months old today. We go to the doctor tomorrow. I will post his monthly photo and stats after that: )

How could I forget?

How could I forget? We got a new fridge last week! I LOVE it, but not sure that I love how it came to be our new fridge. Here's the scoop. Our old fridge was graciously given to us by my Aunt Teresa and Uncle David a couple of years ago along with a dishwasher, microwave, and range. It was awesome, but to our chagrin it had been part of a recall/class-action lawsuit in 2001. This, of course, was unknown to all of us. It quit cooling properly a couple of weeks ago and we borrowed a cooler (and freezer space) from the Dawson's while it got sorted out. The GE repairman came and basically told me that in order to fix it, I'd need new doors and a cooling element. That totaled about $900. He then told me that due to the recall/c-a l, that we were eligible for a $400 credit towards a new GE fridge. Well, with that (and free delivery and take away of the old fridge) we bought a new fridge for $850. It is a top fridge/bottom freezer and I LOVE it! I officially feel like a grown up having dealt with this problem and that I was so excited about getting a new appliance.

March is here

So, March is here! Can hardly believe it, folks. So far new for us in March: Andrea finally got a haircut after 6 months (it was looking pretty sad)--thanks Wendy!, we inherited some gorgeous bedroom furniture from my parents (thank you's all around) and it all matches, Grayson is weighing in around 14.5 lbs these days and is officially sleeping through the night, and the Krause birthday season has begun. We started with Kalia's b-day this weekend (Norb's, Jared's, Jason's, and Valerie's will follow in the next five weeks). Here are a few pics.

New bedroom furniture: dresser and armoire!

New furniture: bed and side tables. We feel so fancy now that all our furniture matches. And, we can hardly find one another in this huge, king sized bed.

Grandma and Grayson: )

Birthday girl, Kalia! She's four and so cute.

Dana made this cute horsey cake. It was so yummy!

Grayson all snuggled up at Mimi's house.

Corbin and Ethan snuggling.

Phoebe snuggling with our dirty laundry. Not sure why she loves that so much. I guess she is a dog, after all.
