This is about that age when Jared and I start to breathe again as parents! Weston is now 18 months and life in general feels more manageable. Also, it helps that risks of choking on common household items, i.e., food and legos seems to decrease around this time.
Weston continues to hug the very top of the growth curve. He weighed in at 29 lbs 13 oz and is 34.5 inches long. Weston loves to eat chicken, bananas, applesauce, yogurt, cheese, and treats. He is pretty good at using a fork and prefers a regular cup over a sippy cup. Regardless of the type of cup, he always manages to spill it! Because of his extreme height it is a constant struggle to put things out of reach. I am beginning to suspect he has go-go-gadget arms!
Weston is learning to talk and says many words, including mama, woof, vroom, dada, hi, stop, mine, poop, what's that, see, and something I'm pretty sure is Miriam. He loves his siblings and getting them off the bus is his favorite time of day. Weston loves being outside and escapes whenever possible. He continues to be a snuggle bug which warms my mama heart.
He definitely has a mind of his own and speaks his opinion. If we have to travel somewhere and he doesn't want to go, he is grumpy and gives me a hard time about the car seat.
Weston thinks he is one of the big kids and does whatever they do!
First day at nursery at church went pretty well. He loves to play and I am glad that we don't have to chase him around the hall for two hours anymore.
At the doctor! He's a healthy, happy boy!
