Thinking of ditching facebook

I've been thinking about ditching my facebook.  Thoughts?  It is just too time consuming and I think I liked it better when my life was more private.  People who really need to get a hold of me can do so via email, cell phone, or blog.

Wednesdays are turning out to be adventure days

Well, Wednesdays seem to be adventure days for our little family. I guess the cabin fever sets in and I am ready to go out and see what shenanigans we can get into. Today we went downtown Orlando to Lake Eola and to the Central Library. It was so fun! The boys really are well-behaved in public and don't bring on a lot of stress for me. (So grateful for that!) The park was awesome and the library too. It was cute to hear Ethan tell everyone he saw "good morning" and chat up the other moms on the playground.

This swan was as tall as Ethan!  Next time we'll have to bring some old bread to feed the swans, ducks, and geese at Lake Eola.

"Stop looking at me SWAN!" (If you know the movie, thumbs up to you.)

 Messy eater!

 Grayson being cute.

Some things Ethan said this week

Ethan came out of his room with a bump on his head.  I asked him what happened.
E: "I was running on my bed and my bed hit me."
Me: "Oh, Ethan.  I'm sorry you got hurt, but that is why Mommy doesn't want you to jump on your bed.  You need to be careful."
E: "It's okay.  You didn't see me."

Uh-oh.  I'm in trouble.

Ethan and I were bored today.  I asked him what he wanted to do.
E: "I'll be an ogre.  You're a gummi bear and you're ticking me off."
Me:  Laughter.

I Love to See the Temple

I haven't been to the temple since way before Landon was born. Probably almost a year ago! So sad, but it is really difficult to go with three itty bitties at home. I got my temple recommend renewed this weekend and decided we should all go to the temple. Today we (the kids and I) went to the temple to have a picnic and walk around the grounds. They were extremely well-behaved and we had a great time. We felt the wonderful Spirit of the temple even though we didn't go inside. It was so fun and wonderful. Here are some shots of our adventure.
 Enjoying our delicious picnic!

View from our shady picnic spot.

It was so sunny!  The boys can't keep their eyes open, so this is the best shot I could get.

My "New" Apron

My mom snagged me a couple of aprons that were once my sweet Nana's. One is a Christmas apron and I will definitely be sporting it come cookie making at that time of year. (Ethan is currently trying to speed Christmas along. His video choices this week have been Rudolph, Muppet's Christmas Carol, and today--Santa Clause is Coming to Town.) Here I am sporting one of her aprons, it even has a little pocket for my tissue.
 Smooches for Ethan!
Jared taking a shot of me walking away.  He is so silly.

Ethan wanted a shot of him walking away also.  He is silly just like his dad.

Landon's First Haircut

Seems with three boys and a cocker spaniel, someone is always in need of a haircut.  Landon's combover/toupee look has gotten a little crazy, so he got to join in the fun this time.  It was hilarious, because he kept trying to find out what was happening and wouldn't keep his head still.  I did get video, but can't find my mini-usb to upload it for you.  I'll work on that.  Here are some photos.

4006 Kasper Drive

We have moved!  I love that we are in our own place.  I love that it is just the right size.  I love that I am in a house in a neighborhood.  I love that we are the Krause's on Kasper Drive (with a K).  Thanks to our families (especially my mama), we got settled within a week. Here are photos as promised.

Our bedroom is half the size of our last bedroom.  The furniture fits, but barely.

Kitchen. (Door leads to a small utility room with w/d, fridge, and storage.)

 Dining room.

Baby's room.  Photo of boy's room wouldn't load.

Awesome pink bathroom. This thing had a tub right out of one of those scary infomercials where the bathroom is so filthy you need some heavy-duty product.  Jared has "cleaned" it twice and it is almost to his satisfaction.

View of backyard and some CDs drying.

View of front of house.
Update: On Saturday, Jared cleaned off the roof and wiped down the trim.  The house looks so great after these very sweaty, time-consuming efforts.  Here is the after shot.

Landon is 6 months

Landon is six months old! We love having him in our family. He still eats a lot and is getting pretty good at sleeping through the night. I feel like a whole new person when I can sleep through the night with him. We went to the doctor and he is in the 90% for his height and weight. He weighs 20 lbs, 1 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. I ache if I hold him too much throughout the day. He is my workout plan. We are dressing him in 12 month clothing, which is just crazy to me. He is nearly ready for his first haircut, but I'm holding Jared off as long as possible. He is a smiley boy and I love it because he is so cute with that one dimple on his left cheek. In the last few weeks, he has finally stopped being lazy and is rolling over and attempting to sit up. He loves to bounce in Grandma's bouncer and when he stands in one's lap, he starts to bounce there too.
This photo is a month old, but shows Landon in his bouncy seat. There were some buggies in the yard (alas, a Florida staple), so that's why he is sporting those socks. He really loves to bounce.

This photo was taken a couple of days ago. Landon has discovered he loves to swing. Pushing the boys on the swing is a great arm workout for me.
